Since that time, the world has come to a sense of peace. Prince Zuko has claimed his title of Fire Lord. Toph has reclaimed Ba Sing Se from the tyrannical brainwashed Joo Dee and her followers and is now known as the Ambassador of the Earth Kingdom, maintaining contact between the other civilizations. Sokka took charge of the Southern Water Tribe as their leader, and his ex-girlfriend Suki returned to Kyoshi Island to lead the Kyoshi Warriors. Katara opened up a waterbending school in the Southern Water Tribe for the young up and coming waterbenders. And lastly, Aang discovered a small hidden civilization of Air Nomads who finally came out of hiding following the war. Ultimately, the group of Team Avatar spent this year securing the harmony of the four separate nations.
However, the damage in all four civilizations was immense. and some of them didn't even have the resources to rebuild. To rectify this Avatar Aang, Fire Lord Zuko, Earth Ambassador Toph, Southern Water Chief Sokka, and Northern Water Chief Arnook established the Harmony Restoration Act. With this, they decided to rebuild a City which could act as a home for all war refugees, regardless of their talent, wealth, or health. People from all over the world, wealthy or poor, homeless or settled, comely or homely, migrated to Republic City.
At first, this went quite peacefully, but some groups began broaching against the founding of this Republic City. They argued that a civilization in which all four civilizations live together is blasphemous and will destroy the world's balance. In the shadows, a gang known as the Triple Threat Triad began to form. Their sole goal, to hinder and cease the development of Republic City.
